[Hi, this question is also posted in D6 On-line. I figured I could post it here to increase the opinion pool. If this violates the Rancore-pit rules then by all means delete this topic.]

[This is a D6 Supers R&E Question] I have a player who wants their powers to be latent to him, but acting independently on their own as a imagined being that isn't always an ally. In this case the powers are ESP and Telepathy thus explains how the figment can see things out of the LOS of the player. This figment cannot physically interact with anything and can only use the powers that it embodies. I've had two thoughts on the matter. One is some form of modified Sidekick due to the independent nature. The second is a modifier on the powers themselves. Do you guys have an opinion or better way of implementing this concept?

Thanks For Reading and Responding.

I may move this thread but the only general discussion forum is really the "Info" section, although this particular area is for SWRPG d6 topics and discussion.
The site is really specialised in the Star Wars RPG, but some members maybe familiar with the RPG you're talking about. One of the other Mods may still move this, I'll let it stand for the moment mostly because there's no really appropriate place to move it, but it's a sincere posting, fairly isolated and not spam or anything. It's just not SWU.
Not sure how much we can help you.

So in effect he is wanting a sort of symbiot that is NOT always in tune with the host body to have powers... What exactly does he hope to get out of it?

@Vanir: thanks, I realize that this place is rather specialized, but I also know there are quality folks here.

@topic

Kind of, here's some background to see if it can clarify. In the PCs background he was implanted with brain tissue from a psionic little girl that was supposed to enhance\grant ESP and telepathic abilities. The player is want to get the powers actively later. For the moment the powers are represented by a manifestation of the powers that only he can see and hear, unless there is someone linked to his mind.

The manifest of the little girl can only see and interact within the confines of ESP and Telepathy. So 'she' could from his prospective walk through a wall and report back what was on the other side if she wanted to. However the girl may not always act in his best interests, but is aware that if he dies, she dies.

I guess it's like his latent abilities are an NPC of sorts.

Hope that helps.
