I am running a game for some friends and for combat we use mini's ( I know how WoTC of me, but my first game is D&D (love it, but hate SW D20)), so I use a battle mat and the squares are 1 inch, so I make them 2m each inch and it works pretty well but I am tired of rounding up or down for each creature or NPC that has an odd numbered movement.

I guess my question is has anyone run into this problem and I was just wanting some imput on others playstyle with mini's.

No, because the only minis I use are the Star Wars Minatures game. *Slaps himself for using a d20 game*

And it's so simplified that every character can only move 5 squares. (10m).
it's unfortunate, because if you turn every square into 1m then you've got people moving a whole lot of squares in 1 round, especially if they're running.

I wish i knew how to help you out, the only thing I can think of, is that perhaps you only let them move 5 squares the first round, then 6 the second? because overall they move 22m (with a move of 11). or 4 squares round 1, 5 squares round 2 (for a move of 9). Or possibly reverse it.

Cause I don't really do miniatures very often.

Wonder if there's a way to convert things to use stuff from the minatures in the regular game. I picked up the Miniatures Battles book Imperial Entanglements a few months ago at the only area hobby shop to carry RPG material. It was one of the few WEG Star Wars books they still had left, and even then it was located in a bargin been where it had been for a few years. Mostly I'd gotten it cause it has a copy of the Aurebesh, which meant I wouldn't have to dig the game manual out of the '97 copy of Star Wars Monoploy every time I use the alphabet, but I was curious what it was like and had hoped maybe there would be something I could use. But naturally all the stat are geared towards the miniatures game without any conversion formula in it except for converting the difficulties from the regular RPG into difficulty numbers for the miniatures game.
