Thanks Loc.
With the exception of the gun on the standard stormie, which I edited in Paint to get rid of elements I didn't want, and adding that kinda armor looking neck guard to the female troopers, the stormies are pretty much what you can find on HeroMachine for stuff that looks like stormie armor. Since all the clothes and stuff are gender neutral, it's really the program that seems to have created female stormie armor. That group shoot was just heavily pasting with transparency to really populate it. The air trooper used those angular wings in the Wings listing in front of that rocket pack like thing in the back section.
The Wookiee and the Jedi were a bit more work. Had to use one of those stripped skins to give that brute pose a furry look, then choose a hair set and a beard set that looked kinda Wookiee like. The nose was one that allowed for two colors and was partially hidden by the beard set. Used the furs in the hand and foot sets, though I had to select each foot fur and then slowly enlarged it to give more of a hair foot look. The armor was more to cover the fact that I really couldn't find fur sets in the various sets that cover those areas of the body.
As for the Jedi, I used the robe in the coat set, making creating a Jedi pretty straight forward as far as general appearance. As far has other appearal, that's up to the person creating the Jedi. The lightsaber, though, takes some work on something like Paint. I found that the katana makes a decent lightsaber handle. The blade is actually the inner part of the broadsword. Might want to do three of the Jedi character, one without any weapons so you can select an area of the lower part of the body to cover some of the katana blade (because of the curve in the katana, I'm not sure if the lightsaber blade would cover what's ove the clothing, though it does line up pretty well with the blade closest to the hilt), one with the katana (erase at least that part of the blade which extends past the body), and one with the broadsword just so you can get the inner part of the broadsword blade. If you do it like this, you want to select enough of the clothing, going past the edge, that has some features that can be matched up using transperancy. Cut the end of the katana then put the selcted area on. Then add the lightsaber blade. Of course if you're putting the lightsaber in the left hand you don't have to worry about clothing. Of course you can edit the lightsaber handle anyway you want, inluding using other weapons for handles or to add to the handle.
Here's some more I've been working on:
Darth Morgenstern (was looking at the weapon called a morning star and found out morgenstern is German for morning star), a Sith Lord. I may try finding morning star in another language since Morgenstern also seems to be used as a surname.
The next four are all the same character, but I'm gonna set it up so she's suffering from multiple personality disorder.
Darth Cotehardie (a cotehardie is a medival garment worn by both men and women, the word means bold tunic in Middle French), a Sith Lord.
Greest Schallern (schallern is the Old German word for the for the medival helmet known as a sallet and means shell-like), a smuggler.
Eryl Bevan, a Jedi.
Don't yet have a name or type for her, though I want to make her a bit of a primitive. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Here's two Stormies who, after the Emperors fall, went merc. I think they turned out pretty well.
The one to the the right is Lizam Alar. And he is famed for the use of his blasters. (The necklace he's wearing is a wookie tooth!)
The other one is Sariz Rattar and he's a pro when it comes to using carbines. And that piece of gold on his neck is a coin he got at young age and he has always been wearing since. (It brings him good luck, he says!)
Together they formed a two-man merc team and are now for hiring for various jobs. (Usually bodyguard jobs.) |
