So, this happened. It would seem that the REUP Team did follow through on their plan to redo WEG SW RPG First Edition/The Adventure Game. It's so retro!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwS75vvAnmTKZWVNakw2ZVEtUnc/view

1 - Player's Handbook
2 - Gamemaster's Guide
3 - Adventure Book
4 - Rebel Field Guide

Reference Cards (to make a GM screen) & color Mos Eisley map

EDIT: I couldn't get the link to work in Mac Chrome or Safari. To me, it says it is in the owner's trash in both place. FYI.

Yep... it was just a fun project. The rules are 1st edition with the errata (not the updates) from the Companion. It's supposed to be a box set... but obviously we can't print up a box with copyrighted art...

This booklets are a total beauty! I live in Argentina and getting the 1E SWd6 book is pretty hard, if not impossible! I will be using these booklets to run my first ever SW game (I'm already a veteran D&D dungeon master).

Thank you, thank you so much for putting these together!

Cool. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Please share how your game goes.

What would be the main rules differences bewteen standard 1E and Classic Adventures? I have already noticed that "stun" works differently. In standard 1E, if you are stunned you fall prone and lose all actions for that round. In classic adventures you get -1D to all actions this round and the next.

Any other important rule changes?

Found another important difference: In standard 1E it takes 1 week lo learn a Force Skill under the training of a master. But in Classic Adventures it takes 10 weeks! That time can be reduced using skill points, but that's a big time difference.

Reasons for the change? Any other mayor changes?

This isn't quite true, is it? The Damage System is different.

Is there anything else different from 1E?

I have noted an inconsistency in the booklets with regards to the healing rules. In the Gamemaster's Guide page 29, it states that with a successful roll, incapacitated characters better their injury status to "wounded twice", which AFAIK is a 2E rule. The wounded twice status is not mentioned anywhere else in the booklets.

Of course, the solution is just to deleted the word "twice" and the rule get corrected.

Yep. Wounded Twice happens somewhere in 2E. It's not a 1E concept.

Yes, Wounded Twice officially shows up in R&E. (I prophetically introduced it as a house rule for PCs and important NPC back in my 1e days.) This includes a review of the damage/wound systems of the various editions.

But yes, I do believe that is an error in the "Classic Adventures" since there is no Wounded Twice elsewhere.

The presentation and usefulness of this booklets is fantastic! I love them. It's a great job. I just point out some errors to help improve them. I'm not trying to bash the work in any way.

Oh I know. I have nostalgic fondness in heart for 1e, and Classic Adventures about brought a tear to my eye. It's beautiful.

Is there any chance of getting "LULU" friendly versions of these 1E books online? That is ones with the covers as separate files.

I ask as I'd love to get them printed out.

Even as I just won an Ebay bid on 6 classic 1E books Razz. But I really like the presentation and organization of these REUP versions.
