Howdy guys! I'm getting back into Star Wars stuff a bit after having been turned off by a lot of the 'new' media from my day, and I have been trying to remember a book I read as a kid and would like to check out again. I don't remember much about it, but I figure that there is a lot of SW knowledge on these forums, and someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.

The only thing that is clear in my memory is a scene where Luke is going after some pirates (I think) and stumbles into an old Jedi trap, which pins him in place with a ton of metal rods. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

It sounds like a sequence that happens in the Timothy Zahn novel Specter of the Past.

That's it! And that explains why I had it in my head that it was in the Thrawn Trilogy but didn't find it when I reread those books. Thanks Desert Kris!

That sounds very understandable, the Hand of Thrawn books feel like an extension of the Thrawn trilogy in my mind. I'm revisiting all five of these books in the newer unabridged audiobook recordings, and it's quite fun being able to experience them again, but in a new way.

I'm glad I was able to help! Smile
