My intention here is to translate these skill categories into the 6 Attributes we have.

I decided to start with strength, there is nothing other than lifting that is actually directly depending on strength.
To hit someone in unarmed combat is no other attribute than to hit anyone while you hold a knife, aka DEX.
So I removed Brawling, as well as swimming as being strong don't make you a good swimmer.

I think all pilot related skills should be under the same umbrella attribute, and to me vehicular navigation aka a starship navigator is a "pilot education"
and thus I am inclined to keep astrogation under mechanical, but I have it for now under academical(Knowledge)

Movement and combat both share DEX, I put them in diffennt categories because if I am a fast runner this does not automatically give me a "talent" or even make it any easier for me to learn to shoot
However if I have a high smarts, this will help me learn things.

While Dance is a movement skill, I keep this under personality
I have yet to finish this, but in general the categories combat/movement/resistances etc will correspond as close as possible to the six attributes we have.

I am also inclined to have an active perception seperate from the search skill. much like search and Spot in D20 with Spot being the more "active" perception, and search being to basically "ransack" things

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

more about collecting evidence than to spot them, though that too is part of the field)

(yes you can learn trhough studies how to be better at resisting mental influence, how to mentally push your self etc etc, is a reason why
special forces are selected for their ability to push them selves mentally, and they learn this through various methods, these are by nature
academical and when practiced upn they are practical exercises. we could even argue self help books can be included.

(if it moves, if it is on or in something that moves, and is directly related to things that move)

*vehicle blasters ( I can't see how a speeder or walker mounted balster is "hand held")

More or less unchanged





I have taken a large bulk of the skills here, not just willpower and intimidation, perception, but the whole.

To me the list I presented is a better realocation of skills, with willpower and initimaidation both falling closer to knowledge than to perception, and I even moved invesitigation and forgery to knowledge skills with a small comment on reasoning.

I posted this from the other thread in case there is an update/revision here from the OP of this thread.

sort of is aand sort isn't it was meant to where skills seems to actually fit, and the why, but yeah it fits here best
