So, I was thinking about TIE Fighters and scale, and it occured to me: The only reason they are Starfighter scale is because of their weapons. If you consider them to be Walker scale, they're not bad. If they're just over-powered speeders, they're pretty stout.

Only if you keep their stats at the level they are for starfighters, not the level they would be at for walkers.

A TIE\IN at Starfighter Scalle has 2D Hull, 2D Manueverability, and 2D fire control, right? However, that is functionally identical to being a Walker-scale vehicle with 4D Hull, 0D Manueverability, and 0D fire control, right? It would still have the same stats against other starfighters, it is, in essence, a small kid in the bigger pool.

What is your premise here? Do you think TIE Fighters are too weak and need beefed up?

If TIEs are not enough of a challenge, then add more TIEs. But yeah, CRM's scale system is good.

Mostly, it's just a thought experiment; sort of like reducing a fraction.

I think the problems with the TIE's stats are bigger than just the TIE itself, which is part of my original motivation for doing the re-write of the Scale System and most of the game stats in the first place. Talking about a specific stat in a microcosm doesn't address the larger issues pervading the entire system.

Maybe you could add size range for each scale? So to newcomers could get the idea which size goes to which group.

And:
Quote:
Skipray
While small enough to be carried aboard capital ships as a starfighter,[5] its immense power output (produced by a Sarylcorp ViX multi-flux reactor), weaponry, and shielding caused some registries to designate it as a capital ship itself.

Maybe we should go for combo stats rather than fully qualify such small vessels as a capital (simply adding dice to damage and shields to reflect capital scale)? It's not as sluggish in flight as a large ship.

This wasn't a stat request, so I replied in the Scale System topic.

For an actual stat request; The Assertor.

Replied to this in the D6 Stats for Fractalsponge Projects topic.

Once we see all its capabilities in the upcoming season 7 of CW, I would like to see stats for Havoc_Marauder.
