So my mom (early 70s), my step-dad and dad (late 70s) have gotten their first and second covid vaccines. I know different states (and other countries) have different criteria and schedules, but has anyone here gotten any vaccine shots yet? (And by the way, I am not asking if you refuse to get it.)

My dad got his second shot in the first week of February, so he's in the free and clear. As a front-line worker, I've been eligible for the past 2 weeks here in DC for my first vaccine shot, but I've been having a helluva time trying to arrange it. DC just switched to a new pre-registration system to organize vaccine distribution, and I just pre-registered a few days ago. Hopefully I'll hear something soon about my first appointment.

Hope you don't have to wait too long for your vaccine shot Sutehp

Not in the states, but I've had my first vaccine shot and so have both my parents. We all have second dose appointments in April.
Things have been pretty well run here so far, starting with medical workers and the most vulnerable they've been racing through
various vaccination group lists.

Hope you feel better soon, shootingwomprats.

I go for my second shot tomorrow. The first one made my shoulder ache pretty bad for a day and a half. After that, another day of soreness in a small area near the injection point, and then I was fine.

I "lucked out" on getting the vaccine since I've been having liver trouble lately which has tanked my platelets (also recently diagnosed as diabetic. Yay...). Fortunately, my doctor says diet and exercise should get me back to normal.

Glad to see your vaccination process is started.

Glad to see your vaccination process is almost complete. Best wishes with the other stuff.

Best to all of you recovering!

I got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine last Friday, so only a single shot needed. My arm was a tad sore for a few days, but otherwise no symptoms.

CDC: COVID-19
I doubt many people got their pandemic info through the Rancor Pit, but I just wanted to be responsible and put a link there since the pandemic was being discussed here. The website has been updated, so I thought it would be responsible to mention it. FYI.
Dude, I'd rather get COVID intel from here than from the US Government, and potentially the Canadian Government. More likely to be intelligently written.

I'll take that as a compliment. The CDC site has gotten a lot better recently.
