Something I am pondering with my adventures in IAG is to use Destiny points from FFG. I always liked the "flipping" of points between light and dark as it neatly showed how the force was ebbing and flowing. I would keep them separate from force points though and have the following functions:

Code:
At the beginning of the game each player rolls a force die to determine starting Destiny Pool.

1) Upgrading- / Downgrading difficulty by one step for a roll (I only use 5 Step difficulty, I know its not accurate but I don't really worry about that)
2) Players can introduce "facts" and additional context into the narrative.
3) Replace Character point usage with Destiny Points instead

I like meta currencies and think my players would either spent too much of their CP on extra dice or too little. This may alleviate the problem. Has anyone else run this already maybe?

You could try something as simple as this:
