I am late to the party, but purchased the book first on amazon and am biting my butt because pdf plus print is the same on drivethru for the price I just spent for the print alone. Purchased the pdf nonetheless to show some love for D6.

It's a pity that there is not a broader hype for Open D6, because since learning of it recently, I am sold. It can easily hold it's ground compared to other newer generic systems out there like Savage Worlds or Genesys. I hope there is more to come soon.

The publisher of this book said there are plans for more in this line.

This would be great!

Skimming through this book, the author refers to Open D6/D6 Space but also mentions, that he calls his version D6 Plus. But I cannot really see any difference to D6 space apart from omitting Metaphysics so far. Am I overlooking something? I failed to find any further explanation about D6 Plus online as well.

"D6 Plus" is just D6 Space with some tweaks to the skill set, which are detailed on p.9-11. This book isn't intended on being a complete game, and notes that it is "stat light." It is just a supplement that could easily be adapted for use with D6 Space or Star Wars or any GM's hybrid/house-ruled system.
