Yes this place from rise of skywalker.

Looking at the place, watching the movie and reading up on the lore, I can not see how Exagol is not based on Byss, we have a gigantic fleet, a dark side cetric planet, a reborn emperor, and give the fleet built I would argue research facilites and the like.

To me basically Byss, just "moved" to unknown regions and changed name.

Looking at the recent movies under disney I see alot of te old legends lore being revived though with some slight changes, be it in te spesific location, the name or orhher minor chhanges, whhile keeeping the original concept intact.

So my question is this, have othhers noticed other obvious "name changes" while the old familiar legends concept is still there?

any planets, shhips, personalities that stick out?

Jakku is just Tatooine with a new name.
Starkiller Base is just the Death Star with a new name.
That planet that is blown up is just Coruscant with a new name.
The Casino Planet is just Bespin with a new name.
That Salt Planet where the Rebels hide is just Hoth with a new name.
The Resistance is just the Rebellion with a new name.
The First Order is just the Empire with a new name.
Rey is just Luke with a new name.
Snoke started as the Emperor with a new name.
Hux was just Tarkin with a new name.
Orange alien was just Yoda with a new name.
Orange alien's place was just the Mos Eisley Cantina with new aliens.
Kylo Ren was just Darth Revan with a new name, and whiny.
Orange football was just R2D2 with a new name.
Phasma was just Boba Fett with a new name.
Snokes ship was just a Super Star Destroyer with a new shape.
Luke's planet was just Dagobah, except as an island instead of a swamp.
It even has it's own Dark Side cave.

Not a single new idea, other than Force Teleportation. (So I heard, I did not see the last movie.)

The Clone Wars also has a planet called Muliban or Mulgore, or something like that, which is just Korriban with a new name.
