				| Yet another fan made map... *sigh*
Yes it is good, I'll give it that. The closest official map I found was over on STARWARS.com, but they have since taken it down. I think I may have a copy of it still in my graphics somewhere (it was not very large so the details are hard to make out).

The good thing about STAR WARS is you don't need to know specifics, and if you do, make them up. SW always seems to concentrate on the story versus the specific technicalities (suggest as Star Trek), which for RPG, it makes it nice. IMO of course.

				| i belive he modeled that map after the one thats inside the covers on the new starwars novels i mean i looked at it and then at his map and it pretty much lines up. as far as i'm concerned if there is a map of the galaxy the one in the novels is right lucas had to authorize it. it can be found in most of the New Jedi Order series books, usually the ones that have the timelines. _________________

				| WotC came out with a magazine which one of the issues came out with a map and stats on how long it'd take to get where. I think most of the conversions are really easy but I don't get to play the game much anymore. so Idon't know. _________________

				| If you're looking for a nice galaxy map of SW, try this one from the Nav-Computer website. It's huge, well detailed and comprehensible. I actually made a huge print out of it (over 2 square feet) to use in my games.

				| They were both cool.
Kudos for the interactive one, and the large one is very easy to read.

I think I'm gonna be printing tonight!

				| I don't know if people really care, but the first linked map isn't very accurate. It's pretty, don't get me wrong, and if you don't care about the location of planets, then it's a perfectly fine map to use. They just don't have planets in the right places or correct sectors, and they're missing some of the basic sectors.
The second linked map is much more accurate, but...of course, isn't as pretty and interactive.

				| Yeah, well, I'm sure that SOMEONE is going to go through and do up an accurate one with all the hearts and flowers that anyone could desire. While I appreciate aesthetics, I'm a lot more practical than that. If it's right, it's good. "Anything else is just a light!" | |
