Seems like I remember some sort of gravity trap but cannot find it. I am creating stats for the Citadel Magnetic Trap. It appears in TCW 318 "The Citadel" at 0:47.

Mechanically I would say it works like a tractor beam. There is a whining sound at the beginning which seems to momentarily incapacitate the clone troopers and Jedi. I think this is a temporary side effect of the trap being sprung as it goes away momentarily and is not used again.

Furthermore, when Anakin is electrocuted, I believe this is different weapon as the administrator pushes a different button an a panel with many other buttons. The electric field appears the same as the Electrical Hallway Trap from earlier in the same episode. Which I am also looking to model.

Any suggestions on both projects?

If my memory serves, it was a magnetic trap that pulled all their weapons up to the ceiling. Because Anakin’s hand was artificial, it got pulled up, too.

There is a gravity trap in GG10: Bounty Hunters, but it's a floor mount, not ceiling.

EDIT: It's called the Man Trap, on pg. 90 of GG10.

I was thinking of writing one into a module, where over a 3 round period of being in a hall, the gravity would start at 2x normal, then ramp up to 8x normal.

Here is the first draft of what I came up with.

Quote:
Magnetic Hall Trap
Type: Magnetic trap
Scale: Character
Cost: Not available for sale
Availability: 3, R or X
Blast Area: 20 meters
Damage: Special
Game Notes: The trap takes one round to initialize, creating a high-pitched sound that causes 4D stun sound damage. Attracts all ferrous objects in a given area and holds them in place with a Strength 8D.
Source: Stats by Emperor Ollie

Appearances: TCW 318 "The Citadel"

What would that do, to those in metal armor?

The same as in the clip I originally posted. It would stick them to the ceiling. More than likely unable to move since is 8D Strength.

Considering how the clone troopers in that clip weren’t affected, I’m moved to wonder exactly how much modern SWU armor is metal anyway.

Also, regarding the stat, I’d suggest changing the Damage to Strength, since the primary effect seems to be a contest of strength.

Guess I didn't make it clear enough. I will change the damage to "Special" and people will read the "Game Notes".

For some reason, I was thinking Tractor Beam Projectors listed Strength in place of Damage. This seemed appropriate to me, since technically they don't inflict damage, but I can't seem to find any stats where that is the case. Oh well.

Clone/stormtrooper armor is not metal. It's plastoid, some kind of futuristic plastic-like product.

Imperial (and most likely thus clone trooper armor) was often said to be ceramic composites. Power armor and the like, i can EASILY SEE being metal. just like most bounty hunter armors..

Just ignore me. I'm used to it.

In canon and legends, stormtrooper armor is made out of plastoid.

I very much doubt that, with all the other technological advancements in the SWU relative to the RW, armor tech advancement would’ve stagnated to the point of still using ferrous metal plates, save for all but the most primitive of worlds. Stormtrooper or clone trooper isn’t particularly special; it’s mass produced to provide a decent level of protection for troops that are ultimately expendable. There’s no reason natural-borns wouldn’t have access to the same or better.
