Special Abilities:
Bite: Do STR+1D+2 damage.
Chitinous Armor: The armor give bastack a +2D modifier to resist damage.
Hypnotic Call: The bastak's hypnotic call has a range of 30 meters and requires eye contact with the target. All creatures within hearing must make a moderate Perception check to successfully avoid the creatures gaze. Those affected by the call go into a mesmerized trance, unable to move or take actions, including reactive defenses, believing the ethereal call is beautiful and that the bastak presents no danger (-1D to all skill checks). At the beginning of each round, the affected trget can make a Perception or willpower check versus
a Moderate difficulty. Others can coordinate with the affected individual to make this easier.

The native sentient Utai managed to tame to dactillion by feeding them meat, though they themselves used to be part of the creatures' diet. The dactillion's ability to traverse great distances quickly made it an important means of travel for locals. They were also used as mounts in battle, grabbing enemies with their strong claws and using their horns. Dactillion were also present on the world of Shantipole.
