A rotund, tusked humanoid race from the icy world Khorm. Divided between sun-priest pacifists and warlord enslavers, they built climate-control storm generators and rode native aelid worms by directing them from within. During the Clone Wars, the Separatist-backed warlord Unger Gout enslaved many Khormai to mine agrocite; a Republic–Khormai resistance led by Adaroo liberated the planet.
Personality: Khormai range from jovial, community-minded villagers to ruthless warlords. Even the fiercest prize honor and view combat as a sacred rite, while dissenters cling to ancestral pacifism.
Physical Description: Stocky, 1.8 m tall on broad legs; thick brown hide covered in wrinkles and pockmarks; dome-shaped head atop blubbery folds; wide white eyes; small triangular nose; flipper-like hands with three or four fingers; upper jaw bears stubby white tusks and mustache; thin white stubble on chin and neck.
Politics: Split between sun-worshipping priesthoods advocating peace and warlord clans enforcing harsh rule. Power shifts through both ritual counsel and violent overthrow.
Trade and Technology: Skilled agrocite mining and climate-control engineering. Use rail jets for long distances and aelid-worm conveyances for rugged terrain. Forge heavy weapons and ornate capes of storm-woven fabric.
Homeworld: Khorm—a frozen world of ice fields, mountain aelid warrens, and agrocite mines.
Languages: Khormese (growled tones), Galactic Basic (with tchk-tchk vocal flourishes)
