Im uppdating (really, redoing) my old rules for modifying ships.

I thought Id update my list of armor types for ships, as my old rule were made up in the 90s.
At the moment I have this.

Material
Recycled Durasteel (Old hull plates welded to own hull. Cheap, heavy)
Durasteel (Normal ship armor)
Crystally Aligned Durasteel(own sci-fi mumbo jumbo. Expensive, lighter)
Reflec Armor (Think Naboo ships): Very effective vs lasers, not so vs missiles)

So what do we have nowadays? Duranium, Bronzium are names I have picked up. Where should they fit, and what properties should they have?
Any more?

Beskar should probably be at the top of the list. I normally play that opposing weapons have to be at least one scale above it on the chart to have any effect.

I wonder what a ship hull made of mandalorian armor would cost? Wink

Material
-Recycled Durasteel (Old hull plates welded to own hull. Cheap, heavy)
-Durasteel (Normal ship armor)
-Crystally Aligned Durasteel(Lighter, stronger durasteel)
-Bronzium (???)
-Quadanium Alloy (used in the Death Star hull).
-Duranium (???)

Special armor coating.
-Chromium Alloy coating (Naboo ships): Adds only protection vs lasers/blasters and Ion weapons, extremely expensive. Need a drawback (except price, perhaps physical attacks damage it).

What would the properties of the below materials be in general terms (relative to normal armour). Text from wookiepedia.

Bronzium:
Bronzium was a solid, durable substance...bla bla...Bronzium was also used in droid manufacture; bronzium plating covered C-3PO's chassis, and droidekas were also armored with this material.
Perhaps just a tad tougher than CA Durasteel above.

Duranium:
It was extremely durable, light, and was capable of withstanding a glancing blow from a lightsaber; however, it also had a very high melting point, making it difficult to shape. It was however, fool proof against blasters and slugthrowers, only the continuous heat of a lightsaber able to melt through it. It was often used in making prison cells and cages.

I included Quadanium which was the only metal mentioned to be used in starships I found.

Bronzium:
Should Bronzium even be in this list?

Duranium:
By fluff extremely tough, but hard to shape into armor.

Also, changed the order in the list of armor materials above
