"If we don't have accurate intel don't we have to go with the biggest area we have and hope it's enough. I know we don't want to leave anything to chance but if the landing outside the cave isn't big enough then we'd have to make a LZ at the base of the mountain and I don't think we can do that and keep everyone protected." _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

"Depending on which side of the mountain you're talking about we may also have a cliff to deal with. Lovely drop off in front of the hangar. Bit of a steep grade we could climb a few kilometers to either side of it, but their a 70 degree incline which we really don't want to be hauling stuff up unless we have a skiff or something." _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

"So does that mean we have a decision on the LZ then sir?" _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Garolf looks to his teammates present, particulary those on the team who are Jedi or, like Tiny and Hrar, civilians. He could easily agree with the man, but he feels their still planning and wants to know if the rest of the team agree with the statement or if they too feel otherwise. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Tiny shrugs.
"I like the landing zone not being at the bottom of the mountain idea. Can we do that one?" _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

Garolf nods to Tiny, then looks to Rownn and the others. He agrees with Tiny's reasoning, but doesn't show it to anyone least they think he's trying to influence them. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

As he waits Garolf turns back to the map.
"The entrange to the hangar is forty meters wide. We could set two of the anti-vehicle weapons here and here," Garolf points out two spots, one on the left and one on the right of the opening. He then turns to Hrar and from him to some of the civilians present. "Are any of the E-webs or the antivehicle weapons mounted so they can be rotated?" _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

Tiny looks up at the map. "I can rotate mine." _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

"Your's I'm not too worried about," Garolf says, looking up at Tiny and giving him a slight smile. "It's the ones that will be more stationary that concern me. If they can be rotated then that'll give us a field of fire that could mean they can also cover each other. If they can only fire in one general direction, that could be a problem that'd call for more movement to protect the guns.
"As has already been said, we can probably use the shield projectors on the stationary E-webs, that'll give them some protection. But if they can traverse their field of fire, that will give them a larger killing zone." _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

John replies "Well, we fixed up the tripods so they could swivel. Should be able to rotate 180 degrees, but best not to force it around too much, not sure how well our fixup will hold up." taking a seat at the table. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

"That just on the E-webs or the anti-vehicle weapons too?" Garolf asks John. _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

"Just the E-Webs" John replies "The anti vehicle is a larger weapon - will take more time to setup, but does have some tracking abilities."
ooc: Atgar 1.4 FD P-Tower - the dish shaped weapon they used on hoth. _________________ The Vong have Arrived

"I guess it's something," Garolf says, not really sounding defeated but not terribly enthusiastic either. "Still, we probably have more to worry about with Vong troops than we have with their vehicles as unless their vheicles can all fly we'll be more facing troops trying to break in."
He looks at the others on the team.
"Any suggestions on placement?" _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!

"How many emplacements will we set up in total? If we collapse the front entrances, assuming we go with the rear LZ then we don't need to defend that side. Not unless the Vong can really dig. Actually what if we don't collapse the front entrance but leave it booby trapped like it is now. That way some might try to get in and get crushed." _________________ Don't waste money on expensive binoculars.

"At least four, maybe all six, the two E-webs and four anti-vehicle cannons," Garolf responds. "And we may need to bring ships into the hangar so we can't immediately collapse the tunnel into it." _________________ FLUFFY for President!!!!
