The subject heading is my main question here. Were they killed off by clonetroopers? Were some of them saved by Palpetine to be used as training aids (targets) for the Inquisitors? Were they subverted by the Inquisitors to become low level Force using agents by the Empire?

If there is no official answer (I haven't found one), what have you all done with this loose end of the Star Wars tapestry?

I would think that, because of the war, clone troopers would have been assigned to any Jedi facility where there were remaining Jedi at, since many were likely pushed into military service. I think the same fate, Order 66, happened to them.

Wasn't the agri corps those who FAILED their jedi training/had little knowledge/capacity for the force? If anything i'd see palps seeing them as 'unworthy of wasting time on'.

There may have been those who resented being assigned to any of the auxiliary corps. Which meant Palpatine had several crops of potential dark siders/Inquisitor recruits available.

Young Anakin: "I'm going to be a Jedi!?!"

Yoda: "Accept you, we will."

Young Anakin: "Wow, I'm going to be a Jedi Knight!!"

Yoda: "Well, actually....."

Young Anakin *gets shipped back to Tatooine as a moisture farmer as part of the Jedi Agricultural Corps outreach program*

Many if them did fail to pass the tests. Others didn't exactly fail out, but simply weren't chosen by masters. (This happens to Obi Wan in the first Jedi Apprentice book.) Several lore books reinforce the idea that the AgriCorps are still considered Jedi though and some even gain the rank of Knight through their service. They just don't have lightsabers. Except in a couple pieces of art where they do. So maybe those were traditional Jedi who volunteered with the Corps after training. Or maybe each writer who touched on the Corp had a slightly different direction they wanted to take it.

Personally, I pull on two themes held in tension when using the Service Corp in my games:

1. The Corp are Jedi who for some reason did not qualify for knighthood and so are often viewed, if only by themselves as lesser. This opens them up to potential dark side corruption.

2. The Corp are full Jedi. They have ranks and counsels, follows the same religious practices, and deepen their connection to the Force through service and self sacrifice. This can cause then to see situations more clearly then Jedi who's minds are clouded by war and personal combat.

There's a lot one can do with that.
