The generally accepted galactic map relies on a vast network of commonly used hyperspace routes, all using data stored on ship navcomputers. This data is also used to interdict hyperspace travel by obstructing a route in some way. As I understand it, the Instinctive Astrogation Force power allows a Force-user to bypass the Navcomputer and program a route based on intuition instead of Navcomputer data.
What I find myself wondering is, when using Instinctive Astrogation, is the Force user limited to the existing route map or can they go “off road”, so to speak? In doing so, can they evade interdiction? Should the Difficulty be higher when going off the map? If so, why, and by how much?

i have seen it more as "plotting my own course", regardless of what the 'maps' may have. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

If you equate the hyperspace maps to "roads", then Instinctive Astrogation would be renting a plane and going there in a straight line, point A to point B, no need to follow a specific path. |
