I thought there was more on this in the books, but my memory's apparently well into the downward spiral of senility. I searched Pirates & Privateers, Far Orbit, Stock Ships, Tramp Freighters, Cracken's Field Guide, both Platt books, and even a wild foray into the Darkstryder box. When modifications are mentioned at all, the reader is referenced to P&P, GG6, or cheerfully encouraged to make it up as they go along (I rather liked that last option, but it's not much on official help).
Having said all that, I concur that tonnage credit should be applied for removed equipment. While the net tonnage doesn't amount to much except in extreme modifications, the credit total for the mods can be a killer. Makes a great excuse for a few adventures to work off the debt, though. _________________ Aha! |
