Don't bother. It will differ for each planet as acceleration due to gravity will depend on the mass of the planet (and height above the surface); drag slowing the fall will depend on the composition of the atmosphere the size and mass of the species falling, etc. You might be able to figure it out for someone on Earth, but it'll be different on each and every planet. _________________ Hotaru no Hishou; a messageboard about games, friends and nothing at all.

Good points though, generally when I've had to deal with falling damage it's form things like the 40th floor of a builing so amour is generally inconsequential at that point anyway. |
Agreed. IMO it also depends on whehether the armor is all encompassing or like a flac vest just protects the torso... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Yes but this armour won't do squat against a bullet.
Combat armour is designed for mobility as well as protection. We always made a distinction between crash armour and combat armour.
Mobility means moving body parts. Moving body parts mean broken and twisted bits. If you've ever seen how a race or stunt driver is strapped into the vehicle, you can see they're protected from sudden and extreme movements. |

I would personally allow any armor bonus the person has against falling damage if you would allow it against something crashing into them, because there really is no difference. A fall and a moving object both contain the same kind of energy, Kinetic. If the armor can stop/help against kinetic energy from, say, a speeder, then it will be able to help with kinetic energy from a fall. And, you never know. That extra 2D could be the difference between having a PC, or a splot of blood and guts all over the ground _________________ "I believe the Jedi are weak so they give up their emotions.
