Hi, can you do pasenger conversion in reverse, as listed in tramp freighters, converting pasenger space to cargo space? Confused

It should be theoretically possible. People take 15 passenger vans, take out the seats and use them to haul short loads of scrap metal, trash cleanout service vehicles, etc.

Though with a larger ship, the problem I see is that of loading the cargo. Passenger liners would be more focused on loading people into the ship, and large cargo often requires the help of cargo lifts, or access by cargo ramp. Certainly a liner would need some loading access for consumables, but I can imagine it wouldn't be quite suited to the trap freighter's needs.

Per the rules in GG6, the conversion ratio is 1 passenger = 10 metric tons. There is no reason it couldn't be reversed...

Out of context, this looks like a galactic obesity problem.

Do you think there should maybe there should be an additional cost for converting backwards?

Not really. The 10 tons of space is not just for the bedding and room of the person. But also takes into account
Air filtration
Water
Food
and possibly even cleaning supplies.

Correct, and all additonal escape pod/safety equipment, among other things, waste disposal/recycyling, etc.
