But if you aren't issuing consequences to their actions, you're GMing wrong, too. I think we just dissagree on the severity of what the DSP represnets- the threshold at which something goes from bad to evil. Like a taking an innocent life- to me, that IS a catastrophic wound to the soul. And especially the infamous shoot-a-spouse-or-child-to-get-someone-to-talk that started this whole conversation! _________________ Star Wars: Marvels, the audio drama: www.nolinecinemas.com

From the reading of your pirate ship group, it seems that there was no real distinction of whom does and does NOT commit murder... _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

Ah..
But that then brings up the potential of DSP's from allowing it to happen, via guilt by association. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

I wouldn't give a DSP for allowing anything to happen, but here in particular I doubt you could even really blame him. _________________ Or that excessively long "Noooooooooo" was the Whining Side of the Force leaving him. - Dustflier

Yeah, I think 'failure to prevent' is definitely a FS-only DSP offesne- the heightened sensitivity thing. _________________ Star Wars: Marvels, the audio drama: www.nolinecinemas.com

BTB it is (or maybe, i can't remember right now) but i DO feel that even NFS should have to watch out what their comrades do, as the evil of their doing should eventually rub its taint off on them. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |

No.
It is not evil to shoot enemy soldiers in war...even their medics.
Of course, if the players adopt such scorched earth tactics, they should not be surprised when their enemies reciprocate. Neither should they be surprised when the Imperials allow their medics to simply walk off the field after a battle if the rebels grant such honour.

True... one group looked askance at me when i had 3 of the stormies flat out point a weapon at their medic, then the officer ordered them off (the group saved him a while back from slavers).. Almost like they were not expecting someone on the Opposition to return a favor done. _________________ Confucious sayeth, don't wash cat while drunk! |
