Here is the trailer for the upcoming Star Wars Rebels show. Pause it at 0:03. There is what appears to be a freighter-sized ship that docks 4 TIE fighters.

This is a reasonable ship to have, since TIE's don't have hyperdrives, and capital-scale carriers would be expensive to move around for minor engagements.

Who wants to make stats for it?

There's a lot of speculation that this ship will soon (~6 months) be developed for the X-Wing Miniatures game. We'll at least have a name for it, but it's definitely a Gozanti of some sort.

Yet, there's a lot of debate about its length. The 52m here is the first I've seen that number, but there are a lot of others floating around here. There's even two length numbers on the Wookiee, depending on which side Canon/Legends you're on. Hopefully all that will be cleared up as well.

My guess is we'll soon have full-color deluxe (DK-like) books in bookstores (if those are still around) that will spell out much of the details on questions like these.

The Carrack cruiser has an exterior rack that carries four TIEs. I'm not suggesting that this is the ship, but it could be the official Canon replacement.

Gozanti has been around a while. The TIE racks may be an add on package.

If you look a images from SWTCW, the four circular hatches are plainly visible on the bottom of the Gozanti. Structurally the biggest change is the expanded wings, presumably to give it more of an arrowhead shape.

Beyond the intro clip, this does seem to be SW:Rs' go-to ship for the Empire, other than the Giraffe-class Star Destroyer. In pretty sure that Doug is right that we'll be learning a lot more about it in coming months as more literature comes out.

Speaking of literature, has anyone read the new Tarkin book yet? It's supposed to be the first post-EU-purge book, and therefore canon.

Tarkin is actually the second Story Group Canon novel, after A New Dawn, the Rebels backstory novel that came out three months ago.

I haven't read either yet because I am waiting until next year to buy them on paperback. James Luceno is my favorite SW author and I was going to buy Tarkin on hardback until I read many reviews by fans of his prior film-era novels who say this one is not up to par with the others. So it can wait. See the link below for my Pit announcement of the first four Story Group Canon novels.

It's funny, but rather than SW: R standing for Star Wars: Rebels, my first thought was that it was an abbreviation for Shooting Womp Rats. Laughing
