I am glad you understood my intent. Certainly was not looking to grab the spotlight from you, but only to garner a possibly larger group to present it to. In hindsight, it probably doesn't matter. Those who have an interest will find it and make use of it. I really look forward to when this will be made available again in a more aggressively edited version. _________________ Don Diestler

Nice! It warms my heart that they haven't moved anything. For the new canon they seem to be just building on the existing EU galaxy map. |
I take it as a good sign that the EU rerack to Legends, was just to give them the ability to pick and choose what EU material they wanted, and when.
My fingers remain crossed that we may, one day see Thrawn on screen. _________________ "Yes because killing the guy you always planned on usurping and killing anyways in order to save your own kid, totally atones for murdering a roomful of innocent trusting children." The Brain |

That could be very cool, but don't hold your breath. For now I'm satisfied that a version of Thrawn does exist in my SWU, for which I can pick and choose what EU and canon material I want. 8) _________________ *

I'm still working on the following improvements (Bold points an included section):
- Arkanis Sector
- The Centrality
- Chiss Ascendacy
- Corporate Sector
- Elrood Sector (too small for scale it in my map -see map attached)
- Gordian Reach
- Greater Javin
- Hapes Cluster (too small for scale it)
- Hutt Space
- Kashyyyk & neighbors
- Kessel Run
- Minos Cluster (fanmap I found in this forum don't match)
- Modell Sector (too small for scale it)
- Mon Calamari Space
- Outbound Flight Route
- Pentastar Alignment
- Senex & Juvex Sectors (too small for scale it)
- Sisar Run (The Periphery) (too small for scale it)
- Sith Worlds
- Tapani Sector (too small for scale it)
- Tion Cluster
- The Force Awakens (5 new planets -names in red)
SW_PCmap
The Greater Yavin will be the last one, I guess, and I'll try to finish it before the D-day.
The sectors not included because of their small scale could have an exclusive map with all of them. I'm still thinking on that and the best way to do it (maybe a windows cascade system with all these sectors?) |

This is really fantastic.
I use Campaign Cartographer and had wild delusions of redrawing the atlas in CC3... but instead I just used Modi's original maps as backgrounds and drew on top of them.
It's really an impressive level of detail. Thanks for your hard work!
PS. I noticed Muzara is misspelled on the main map! _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |

STAR WARS galaxy maps v1.0 (yes, it never ends xD)
Planet and sector maps
Both maps have numbers and letters like in the atlas, but not always match exactly with the appendix (not a single grid line is striaght in these official maps ). That's because I've deteled the grid.
Enjoy it!
PS: Thanks for the corrections Barrataria, and don't hesitate on your suggestions, criticisms and questions. |

You most definitely will not get criticisms from me I only noticed Muzara because I'm working on an adventure and had been hunting around for a sector map for the Expansion Region.
If I do notice anything I will speak up for sure! Like with the Atlas vs. the original Modi map, everything isn't exactly in the same place, and I'm not sure what you mean by the gridlines not being straight... but I'll take your word for it and wait lazily for the results! _________________ "A special effect without a story is a pretty boring thing"- George Lucas |

Well, the grid lines of the atlas and modi maps are irregular, just like the planets position. That's because I prefer to detelete the grid.
However, you can use the appendix of planets from starwars.com with my map.
Quick question: My map version is prepared for an A3 print size. Do you prefer a bigger version or it's just fine? |

Amazing!
So I'd mentioned it awhile ago - do you happen to have this in an editable format that you could share, Illustrator or Photoshop perhaps? I have 20 years of campaign planets I'd love to add for my players, but there's no editable version online. Is it something you could share privately, if I promise not to re-release it or make it available to others? Hell, I'll even promise to delete it afterwards |

This is a fan map for fans. I would like to see this work shared alike (and its derivations), with no restrictions except the imposed by Disney itself.
Enjoy the original Illustrator file, enjoy the galaxy of Star Wars!!!
Original Ai file
Thanks to everyone for your encouragement words.
PS: I've made some adjustments, and I'll make more in the future (mostly misspelled names or a few more planets). The result of these changes will be published here. |

Fantastic work. I haven't gone over the details in the file yet, but it looks great!
Quick life hack: All of you probably have software installed to handle .AI files. Rename the file to a .PDF file, and Adobe Reader will open the file. |

^ This is fantastic!
Do you have the Sector Maps available as an AI as well? Seriously, this represents an immense amount of work! Thank you! |
