Special Abilities:
Berserker Rage: If a Wookiee becomes enraged (the character must believe himself or those to whom he has pledged a
life debt to be in immediate, deadly danger) the character receives a +2D bonus to strength for purposes of causing damage
while brawling (the characters brawling skill is not increased). The character also suffers a -2D penalty to all non-strength
attribute and skill checks. When trying to calm down from a berserk rage while enemies are still present, the Wookiee must
make a moderate Perception total. The Wookiee suffers a -1D penalty to Perception and rolls a minimum of 1D for the check
(therefore, while most Wookiees are enraged, they will normally have to roll a 6 with their Wild Die to be able to calm down).
Please note that this penalty applies to enemies. After all enemies have been eliminated, the character must only make an
Easy Perception total (with no penalties) to calm down. Wookiee player characters must be careful when using Force points
while in a berserker rage. Since the rage is clearly based on anger and aggression, using force points will almost always
lead to the character getting a darkside point. The use of the Force point must be wholly justified not to incur a Dark Side Point.
Climbing Claws: Wookiees have retractable climbing claws which are used for Climbing only. They add +2D to their climbing
skill while using the claws. Any Wookiee who uses claws in hand to hand combat is automatically considered dishonourable by
other members of his species, possibly to be hunted down – regardless of the circumstances.
Story Factors:
Enslaved: Prior to the defeat of the Empire, almost all Wookiees were enslaved by the Empire, and there was a substantial
bounty for the capture of “free” Wookiees.
Honour: Wookiees are honour-bound. They are fierce warriors with a great deal of pride and they can be rage driven, cruel
and unfair – but they have a code of honour. They do not betray their species – individual or as a whole. They do not betray
their friends or desert them. They may break the “law” but never their code. The Wookiee code of honour is as stringent as
it is ancient. Atonement for a crime against their honour code is nearly impossible – it is usually only achieved posthumously,
but Wookiees falsely accused can be freed of their dishonour and there are legends of dishonoured wookiees “coming back.”
But those are legends…
Language: Wookiees cannot speak basic, but they all understand it. Nearly always, they have a close friend who they travel
with who can interpret for them … though a Wookiees intent is seldom misunderstood.
Reputation: Wookiees are widely regarded as fierce savages with short tempers. Most people will go out of their way not to
enrage a Wookiee. Wookiee characters gain +1D to Intimidation skill rolls against anyone familiar with their fearsome reputation.

Looks like I managed to save Lowie's and M-TD's YJK d6 stats.

Dim another's senses is a Sense and Alter power.

Generally speaking, Wookies can understand Basic, but not speak it. The one exception was a friend of Chewie's whose voice box didn't develop right. It left him incapable of speaking Shyriiwook, but he could speak Basic. Chewie introduced him to Leia in Heir to the Empire when they traveled to Kashyyyk. So Lowie shouldn't have languages: Basic and languages: Basic (understand only). It should only be the latter.

I believe Life web needs to be specialized by selecting a specific species. It could be life web: Wookie, life web: human, etc. He can have multiple specializations, like having both life web: human and life web: Wookie.

I did a comparison of the YJK stats with what you have.
languages should be 4D.
Strength should be 5D.
Technical should be 3D+1.

One last thing for Lowie. I remember a line from the very brief Invasion comics, and it fits Lowie perfectly: "A Wookie with a lightsaber? That's overkill!" I can see Chewie with his hands behind his head grinning like an idiot while thinking, "That's my nephew!"


As for M-TD, alien species should be alien species.

Actually, Ralrracheen was not incapable of speaking Shyriiwook. He spoke it, but with a speech impediment. And he could not speak Basic. His speech impediment somehow made him easier for Basic speakers to understand his Shyriiwook.

The whole thing was silly because Star Wars has shown that some native Basic speakers can understand normal Wookiee speech with no problems, so it doesn't really make that a speech impediment would somehow make it easier for humans to understand. If some Basic speaker understands some Shyriiwook, and there is one single speaker that sounds different than all the others, that would probably make him harder to understand for the Basic speaker too.

The real reason for this contrivance was just so Zahn could break with a certain Star Wars convention for one Wookiee character. In Star Wars video productions, some alien languages, such as those of Chewbacca and Artoo, are never translated into subtitles. This convention carried over to the prose stories, so we don't get English for Wookiees, even when they are speaking to characters fluent in their language, such as Chewie to Han. Zahn contrived this speech impediment business just so he could have the Wookiee ambassador be the single exception to the convention, and his spoken text could be in English (in brackets IIRC), all just so Zahn wouldn't have to follow convention and he could just write the dialogue without having to spell the Wookiee sounds and devise the Basic speaker's responses to "explain" what was said by the response to it. It was simply a Star Wars writer shortcut he invented.

I'm listing the laguages they are given in the D20/SAGA stats, these inculde the native language so that's why I include them in the stats.
Obviously, it's automatically assumed characters speak their own language but not by WOTC apparently. Rolling Eyes

You can just remove them from the stat block if you prefer, it won't affect anything else.

On the protocol droid thing, I would say that C-3PO is a different case as it's programming, not actual learning of languages, so him
having just plain Languages at a high level makes sense.

As I mentioned before, these are mainly straight conversions from D20/SAGA to D6 with the official WEG stuff keeping them roughly
in a progression line. Everything there, with the possible exception of the fighty ones, should really be in the LOTF stat blocks for a
pilot character anyway, they are kind of important skills.

Comes down to the ranking of sources again. As I mentioned below the stats, the WOTC D20 stats matched the WEG ones
almost exactly. Differences between these and the LOTF fan source book ones are going to be common, especially where
they clash with official sources.

I do try to match them all up if possible though, but it's not often possible.

Same answer as before, the D20/SAGA stats list all the languages, including the native one, so I put them in these conversion
D6 ones. They can be easily removed if don't want them there.

I did Laughing Cut an past error probably, and yeah I suspect it was supposed to be Survival instead, but I'm not sure what the actual

I'm going to go and shift the stat block to use these as the default, as they are technically official WEG stats.

Yes it would affect the die codes. What I'm probably going to do though, is just alter the Attributes to match the AJ stats, but leave the skills
at their current rating to represent progress and experience, othetwise he could end up with skills that hadn't changed for decades.

WOTC D20 ones have them listed, that's why they are there. I'm not exactly sure how the LOTF ones were constructed, was that fan source book
released before the D20 NJO one? If so, it does account for some of the differences.

They are in his D20 stat block from the NJO book, so I guess he picked up those languages later on after Mist Encounter.

I think she had them listed in the WOTC D20 stats, I could be wrong though and added them myself. If you think she should't have them I'll
bow to your better knowledge of the NJO, and remove them.

Perhaps her helping run the resistance you mentioned may have given her some command ability, but the WOTC stats didn't include it.
You could maybe add it if you liked, but I ave no idea at what D rating it would be.
