Today I celebrate being alcohol free for 10 years. On social media, these types of posts are typically accompanied with 'before and after' pics meant to demonstrate some dramatic physical transformation showing how much better life is. I don't have that. 10 years ago, I looked normal. Now, I look older. But I FEEL better without alcohol, and that's enough.

Yes, congratulations! My fiance and son are both celebrating sobriety. It's something to be proud of!

Last time i had a drink, it was to celebrate 2023's new years (had a 12 pack of Fosters).. Prior to that, i last drank alcohol 2017. Since new years 2023, i have had only one 12 pack (also fosters)...

As someone who has a family history of alcohol issues - I salute your achievement - and recognize how meaningful this is.

Not much of a drinker. Cool. For the last 10 New Year's, I have stayed home with my wife and son. We watch the the ball drop and festivities on TV, and then after midnight go outside and do sparklers and firecrackers, etc. (yes sometimes in the freezing cold/snow). We typically drink non-alcoholic sparkling wine, and New Year's is the only time of year I even bother with fake alcohol. My wife infrequently drinks real alcohol, maybe about as often as you do.
