Unfortunately, neither of the Barnes and Nobles that I could get to have any Star Wars RPG books of any kind, so that's a bust. Looks I'm going to have to build up funds and buy from Amazon if I want to see these books.
Good news is that based from what I gleaned from the Wook, I came up with a few things to add from the Nexus of Power book. I want to wait and read it to account for any small details before I officially add it. The same goes to the other books, as I found references to at least three Force powers that I don't recall seeing before, a possible Force tradition called the Blood Court, and two other Force-using paths Magus and Alchemist. I say Force-using paths because I view these as paths one can take, like the Force Adept, Force Warrior, Sith Warrior, Sith Master, Jedi Consular, Jedi Guardian, Jedi Ace, and similar paths. And none of these new information have entries in the Wook yet.
Also from the Wook, I found two other traditions, one of which I remember hearing about before. The other appeared in a book I have but haven't read yet. Fortunately, I can be able to work with them without much difficulty.
Here's hoping the forthcoming Chiss trilogy delves into their Force tradition. |

Considering how shootingwomprats is making his conversions from Saga materials, and he's starting to get into other Force tradition, I want to make available my Force Compendium afain. And this time it should be all there. This is only partially expanded, as I have a slew of other materials to go through.
But I need help on two things. First, how again do I make my work available for others to see?
Second, and I need to deal with this before I post my work again. The bond that existed between Rey and Ben - at first I thought it was a Force power Snoke used on them. I had a lot of trouble coming up with a description of this until I read the Secrets of the Jedi book that came out before the final movie. However, the final movie is saying that the bo d between those two was "natural". Like how Anakin Skywalker was conceived by the midichlorians. Or how the Halcyon/Horn line had a high affinity for affect mind and absorb/dissipate energy, but couldn't use telekinesis unless they absorb a blaster bolt or some other source of energy first. So what should I do? Treat it as a Force power and leave it in, or treat is as a natural occurrence and remove it from the listing? |

Maybe make it a modification of Life Bond? _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

You can post to Google Docs and make it available to those with a link, and then share that link here. Several users here have done that. I think you can even edit it there.
I wouldn't be the one to help you interpret Disney Trio Force powers. In the immortal words of Jar Jar, "My give up."
But I morally support your endeavor and I will be happy to make it available to everyone for download when it is done. _________________ *

First off, my response to your quote "My give up" - face palm and "Oh", like General Ceel did right after Jar Jar said that in TPM.
CRMcNeill, I had that as a prerequisite for what I came up with. But how would you explain Ren and Kylo battling each other even when one's on the planet and the other's on the ship. If it were a battle in their minds, okay. But the pedestal holding Darth Vader's mask was on the ship, and when the lightsabers destroyed it, fragments of it appeared on the planet surface. Fold Space doesn't cover that, neither would it cover Ben receiving a lightsaber from Rey, even when they were in different parts of the complex.
I'm going to play it safe and cut the power from my work for now. I need to read the novelization first before I try to wrangle this wrinkle again. Whill, can you tell me what I need to do to load up my work and make it available to be seen here? |

It was Captain Tarpals in the finished film.

I didn't even notice or remember the pieces of Vader's helmet going through to Ren's end on the planet. Of course by that point in the film, that shark had already been jumped with the necklace going through from Rey to Ren (in a different star system no less).
Further support for leaving the magic teleportation out...
(1) The Force Dyad was said by Palpatine to be a thing that is very rare and hasn't appeared in generations. Unless gamers are playing in a game where TRoS is part of the metaplot and it takes place many generations before or after the film takes place, gamers aren't going to need rules for this.
(2) Ren and Rey didn't intentionally create the Force Bond connection or the specific things they could do through their Force Bond anyway. The things they did through it were just a side effect of the unintended Force Bond that they discovered.
(3) A WEG book's Force rules section indicates that these rules don't apply to the Skywalkers, so you even have a WEG precedent for leaving the Disney Trio's Force Dyad/Bond out of your rules.

I went ahead and uploaded my work on Google Docs as a PDF file. It's been updated to include some new powers from the Jedi: Fallen Order game. The hardest part of getting this together was going through the Table of contents and index and updating the page numbers. I also included a few other powers for now.
Just wait for what I have in store for the future. |

You mean my putting it on Google drive isn't enough?
Years ago there was MediaFire or something to do this. This is what happens when I'm out of the loop for a while and advances in tech changes things. Can someone give me directions on how to do this then? It's on Google drive. Now what do I do?
shootingwomprats, I saw the powers you made for the Blazing Chain Force tradition. I created two myself and they're in my work. I have to look at them later, but if I like them, and if you like what I've done, can I add your creations into the Compendium? I'll give you the full credit and acknowledgment. |

Left click on the file in question to get a drop-down menu, then click "Get Shareable Link". That automatically copies the link, which you can then just paste to a post here.
If you'd like, you can put a link in your signature, too. _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

I have not seen you post a link to the Google drive. Did I miss it somewhere? If so, sorry. Went back and looked and did not see one. But then again I am getting old and a touch senile.

You can use anything I post. Just give me a citation for work, that is all I ask. _________________ Don Diestler

Had to wait until I got to a computer to do a cut and paste, but here we go:
The Force Compendium
I checked the link while doing a preview. The whole thing showed up.
Like I hinted before, wait until you see what I have in store for the next update. Since those books for the High Republic Era is coming out in August, I plan to get the updates completed and have the updated work available beforehand. Here's a little teaser: going back through the old WotC pre-Saga versions like Hero's Guide and so forth. Three new traditions from those books, none of which have already been included in what I have. |

Quick mock-up for a cover so that eventually we can make a print-on-demand for it.

Cool. Can I replace what is on the RP Library with this version, but maybe keep a note that further updates are in the pipeline? _________________ *

Shootingwomprats, I have to admit I wasn't expecting those covers. At first, I didn't recognize who was in the top one. But now I do. Considering I'm going beyond Jedi, dark Jedi, and Sith, the Bendu one might be more appropriate.
For the moment, I'm more interested in your opinion on the two Blazing Chain powers I came up with.
Will, what do you mean by RP library? If you mean replacing what currently available - the one that's cut off at the end, then okay. |
