Due to the utter lack of strength skills, I have moved acrobatics, dancing, running into the strength skill category. If swimming is a strength skill so should these. Are there other skills in someone's strength category.

While I can see Acrobatics and Running, why dancing? Isn't that a more graceful thing, except for things like River dancing which requires endurance?

To answer the question Vehicle blaster when not on a stand and Hip Fired.

I moved Vehicle Blaster to a Mechanic skill a long time ago. As for Acrobatics and Running? Sure move them over to Strength of you like I don't any real issue with it. Dancing? I think I would allow the player to choose which one. Either are reasonable and also gives the character a little crunch in his own development.

Jumping is in strength, there is a lot of jumping in dancing, and dancers are very fit.

Is Acrobatics an Advanced skill? I don't recall seeing it anywhere. I've shifted a few skills around as well, like moving Brawling to Dex (with damage still based on Str) and Intimidation from Knowledge to Perception. I also agree with moving Running to Strength and Vehicle Blasters (and Blaster Artillery) to Mechanical.

Or can there be different attribute skills. Graceful dancing, like ball room, dexterity, ballet and river dance, strength.

Acrobatics an advanced skill? It would be nice to have an advanced skill in strength. I found this skill in Han Solo and the corporate sector source book.

I have split Climbing/Jumping into, you guessed it, Climbing and Jumping. They are still both Strength skills.

Although not a common skill for characters, I have the skill Digging under Strength.

Digging... Would that be like a movement skill, like subterranean creatures in D&D having a Burrowing speed?

Actually to me Dancing is a know (profession) skill. As for Running, why move it to str, since most people i know of who are runners are rather dexterous but not muscular.

Same with Swimmers, Climbers and Jumpers, yet those skills are under Strength.

Actually, the only place Dancing is listed as a skill is in the Han Solo & The Corporate Sector handbook, on the stat block for the Trianni Atuarre, where it is a Strength skill.

It's a shame there isn't a way to combine skill sets that span across multiple attributes. A dancer might require Strength, Knowledge and Perception based skills to choreograph a performance. A surgeon would require Alien Species skill rolls in addition to First Aid and Medicine to successfully perform surgery on a patient, and so on and so forth. Maybe something like an Advanced Skill, but with prerequisites and bonuses that can be applied to skills under two or more different attributes?

Actually there are ways to have skills under multiple attributes. Obne way would be to average the applicable attributes. You could simplfy things by creating categories such as "Athletics" (average of STR and DEX), and place skills like Running under it. With categories it would be possible to keep the combinations down to a reasonable level.

But, if you really wanted to, you could give each and every skill it's own formula!
