And a 2-for-1 this Sunday, as I'd originally planned on adding this character's entire pirate gang for National Talk Like a Pirate Date. Alas, Real Life time commitments intervened.

However and in any case: Here is the Quarren pirate captain from Star Wars: Resistance, KRAGAN GORR, leader of the WARBIRDS.

Better late than never — and the rest of the Warbirds, along with their snazzy pirate-ship, the shark-like Galleon, are up next.

This write-up also incorporates the new special ability Quarren gained in new canon, spitting squid ink as a defensive measure / escape tactic.

Species: Quarren
Gender: Male
Force Points: 1
Dark Side Points: 3
Character Points: 9
Move: 9

Special Abilities and Story Factors:
  • Aquatic: Quarren can breathe both air and water, and can withstand the extreme pressures found in ocean depths.

  • Cloud of Ink: The Quarren are capable of spitting out clouds of ink as a defensive measure and escape mechanism. In game terms, a Quarren may spit a blinding cloud of ink at targets within three meters distance, on a successful Dexterity or brawling parry roll, followed by an opposed Strength roll. If the Quarren's brawling parry roll is successful, his target is temporarily blinded and disoriented by the ink, suffering an immediate -4D penalty to all vision-based actions.

At minimum, this effect lasts for the remainder of the round. At maximum, this effect lasts for a number of rounds equal to the margin by which the Quarren's Strength beats his opponent's Strength roll. If this defensive measure is used underwater, the ink has an effective "blast radius" of 1 meter, and an effective duration equal to the Quarren's Strength roll — regardless of the latter roll's success. This defense mechanism may be used as a reaction skill.

Due to the limited (but varied) capacity for ink generation that each Quarren has, this defensive measure may only be used a certain number of times per day, before the character's internal ink supply is exhausted and the Quarren must regenerate his ink. This number is equal to the number of the Quarren's Stamina die code. It takes one full day for a Quarren to completely regenerate his internal supply of defensive ink, with one "day" equal to 21 standard hours, the length of a single day on the Quarren homeworld of Dac / Mon Cala. Quarren characters may choose to improve this capacity for ink generation separately from improving their stamina skill, and may do so as a specialization of stamina, stamina: ink generation.

  • Cybernetic Arm: At some point during/after the Galactic Civil War, Kragan Gorr lost his left forearm. He has since acquired a cybernetic replacement. In game terms, his cybernetic limb grants him +1D bonus to resist physical and energy damage to his left arm, and a +1D bonus to Strength checks that involve grip — including grappling, climbing/jumping, or lifting — when using his left hand.

Description: With the tips of two of his face-tentacles severed, a cybernetic left arm, a body covered in scars and tattoos, and a mad gleam in his blue eyes, the Quarren known as Kragan Gorr cut an imposing figure. Clad in customized Imperial Army Trooper armor, and armed with an array of weapons, vehicles and ships acquired from various sources, the fearsome Gorr was the leader of the pirate gang known as the Warbirds.

Capsule: The ruthless pirate Kragan Gorr was notorious for leading attacks under cover of environmental threats, such as raging storms and other atmospheric phenomena. And unlike more brazen (perhaps foolhardy) pirate groups, Kragan often employed subterfuge in other ways as well. And having lived a life of piracy for decades — Kragan had served under the Lasat Grax during the Galactic Civil War — Gorr was quite good at his chosen profession.

Pirates were not known for their allegiance, but Kragan Gorr saw the mutual benefit of working with the First Order. The Quarren agreed to continue attacking the Colossus refueling station, so that the station's captain, Imanuel Doza, would be forced to seek protection from the First Order, thereby allowing the military collective exclusive access to such a vital resource. And when a chance encounter between pirate Synara San and new station resident Kazuda Xiono, led San to be mistakenly "rescued" after a pirate attack on a freighter, Kragan gained yet another advantage — a spy aboard the Colossus. With Synara's intel, Kragan was able to lead more organized attacks on the platform, and gain entry into the secure Doza Tower for his ultimate scheme. Unbeknownst to Kragan however, San would come to view the station residents as friends.

In addition his pirate gang and associates feeding him important tactical intelligence, Kragan was also secretly in league with the First Order. But the First Order betrayed Kragan, during their cooperative, covert operation to kidnap Torra Doza. The First Order used the incident to turn against Kragan. With Synara returning to the gang, Gorr had to weigh the value of new alliances.

And when the Colossus came under attack by the First Order, at Synara San's urging, Kragan and his Warbirds were among the reinforcements to arrive, an unlikely alliance born of an unlikely friendship.

Equipment: Customized Imperial Army Trooper armor (+1D vs. physical and energy; spokes on shoulder pauldrons and helmet inflict STR+1D damage if used when brawling; covers head, torso and arms only; goggles prevent flashblinding), holo-comlink with encrypted frequency, modified double-barreled Imperial Munitions heavy blaster pistol (5D+2 damage, range: 3-7/25/50, ammo: 25), pirate "fleet" (composed of various starfighter uglies, speeder-bikes, swoops, and airspeeder/waveskimmer-like skiff uglies), pirate flagship/warship (Galleon), pirate shuttle (modified Lambda-class ugly), shin guards (+1D vs. physical and energy, covers lower legs only), utility belt and holster, wrist comlink.

Funny. I decided to give Quarren an ink ability many years ago, and now I see that canon gave it to them a couple years ago. Might I suggest an edit to your special ability to include a frequency? Otherwise it would seem like Quarren ink production could go on continuously round after round. Might I suggest once per day?

Alternately, make it a dice pool, like the Death Star's Superlaser, so that the Quarren has x amount of dice worth of ink he can expel, which then regenerates at a set rate (or perhaps a rate tied to the Quarren's Str dice). Maybe even allow a Quarren to devote CP into increasing their available ink generation, like a skill...

Or more generously, Once per day per D of stamina.

Or more randomly, require increasingly difficult stamina rolls to release another cloud of ink.

Re: the Quarren's "Cloud of Ink" special ability:

Thank you for the feedback, Whill, CRMcNeill, and Bren!

I have amended Gorr's Quarren special ability to include the following, and have added your names to the Sources list, to give credit for the suggestions, as this version incorporates a mixture of all your feedback that I think strikes the right balance:

Quote:

(On a related note: With various aliens/creatures have an acid or venom "spitting" ability, one of the "funnier" ones I came across while doing research was the RotJ's SE Shawda Ubb having their acid-spray as a melee combat specialization. I get the logic -- likely looking at melee combat's RAW text citing use for any "improvised / non-standard" weapon, but for me, keeping the Quarren's ink to a more "biologically-tied" function of brawling parry felt more appropriate and defense-focused, without having to create a new skill.)

Really liked CRM's idea of the dice pool, and am going to use that suggestion as inspiration for the Ugor rewrite (for the Solo sourcebook) instead, so as to keep the in-game use of the Quarren ability more streamlined. Similar to Bren's suggestion, I already had it in mind to make the ability's limit tied to STR/stamina die code. And I hear you, Whill re: having added such an ability years ago -- to be honest, I am surprised that WEG never gave the Quarren such an ability to begin with, as they'd already given other species abilities that mirrored their various real world inspirations -- many of which were already *much* more of a stretch than the squid ink.

-----------------------

Re: the Z-6 rotary:

Went back a little further too, and added this note to the Z-6 in Korso's equipment stat block. With excellent iterations of house rules for auto-fire already here on the Pit, I wanted to add the minor change I'd made to the weapon's existing write-up with the character using it. Also added CRMcNeill to the entry's sources, for his mention of the move-and-fire penalty in his version of the weapon.

Quote:
Game Notes: Characters with a Lifting skill lower than 3D who attempt to use the Z-6, risk operating the weapon at -1D multi-action penalty, as a non-roll lifting action is required for as long as they wield the weapon. And if any character wishes to move and fire in the same round, he must make an Moderate Lifting skill check, though the latter check is a free action.

-----------------------

Re: List of Obscure Character Entries on page one:

And going further back still, added page numbers to the running list of Obscure Character entries that I update on page one of this thread, after seeing Whill suggest something similar for MamaTried's "Non Star Wars Heroes, Star Wars Style!"... so as to make it easier for those that really want stats for "Fake Wedge" Col Takbright, Gormaanda, Therm Scissorpunch, Proach, Bolza Grool, et cetera.... Razz

Thank you, Ryan! And no problem — you know, I don't know why I was hedging my bets, she's probably my favorite character from the series too.

I find the episodes that focus on the Colossus' characters far more interesting than the purely "plot-focused" ones that guest-star Poe Dameron.

Give me an episode about the Pirates, mechanics, Aces or various merchants/vendors on the station any day, as I do like the overall ensemble cast a lot.

Alternately, you could do what I did with my Stat Archive, and what Naaman did with his All About Lightsabers topic; make this the Feedback page and post all the completed stats in a separate Archive, along with a specific request that any replies or suggestions be made on the Feedback page.

Telsij, that would be fine if you wanted to to separate character posts from discussion. If not, then please consider creating an index edited into the OP with direct links to all the character posts.

And slowly but surely, Kragan Gorr's pirate band the Warbirds are statted out. Here is VALIK from Star Wars: Resistance, Palliduvan Pirate and primary pilot of the Warbird flagship, along with stats for the near-human Palliduvans, a species (finally officially named) whose other notable figures in the galaxy include bounty hunter, Aurra Sing.

TECHNICAL 3D
Computer programming/repair 5D, demolition 4D, security 4D+2

Species: Palliduvan
Gender: Female
Force Points: 1
Character Points: 4
Move: 10

Species Special Abilities and Story Factors:
  • Bony Fingers with Claw-like Nails: The durable claw-like nails at the ends of the Palliduvans' bony-fingers, are known to be used for drawing blood. In game terms, the Palliduvan's claw-like nails inflict STR+1D damage when used in combat, and grant a +1D bonus to any rolls required for the specific purpose of drawing blood (such as First Aid skill checks), via rupturing a being’s hide or skin.

  • Skull Spikes: Like their claw-like nails, only more substantial and more prominent, the bony protrusions atop some Palliduvans' heads could likewise prove dangerous when used in combat. In game terms, the spikes atop a Palliduvan's head inflict STR+1D damage if used when brawling.

  • Stereotype / Reputation: Due to the notoriety of certain members of the species, Aurra Sing being among the more galactically-known examples, a common stereotype of Palliduvans paints them as cunning and/or ruthless.

Quotes:
  • "Doza has something that we want. It's gonna bring us more credits than we can count."

  • "Break out the droid popper."

    — Valik commands fellow pirate Drell, to use an ion grenade against Doza Tower's security droids.

  • - "What is it like being a pirate?"
    - "We pillage and plunder mostly, that sort of thing."

    — Neeku and Valik, as the Warbirds and the Colossus crew search the wreckage of the First Order dreadnought above D'Qar.

  • - "Take her in gently, Valik."
    - (Grunting) "I'm trying!"

    — Kragan Gorr and Valik, on docking the Galleon in the Colossus' hangar, while under heavy fire.

Capsule: With a mohawk-like line of black spikes protruding from her chalky skin, piercing red eyes, and long, bony fingers capped by claw-like nails, the pirate Valik strikes fear into the hearts of those who make her acquaintance.

Although Synara San would later come to act as an informal "second-in-command" for the Warbird pirate gang, Valik was often entrusted with vital missions as well — such as the kidnapping of Torra Doza, daughter of Imanuel Doza, captain of the Colossus refueling station. And it was telling of Valik's skill that, of the pirate group sent to the prisoner exchange, the Palliduvan was the only one who emerged unscathed from the First Order's betrayal of their deal with the Warbirds.

Valik was also one of the more mechanically-adept and technologically-inclined amongst the pirates. She not only intercepted and decoded a scrambled message sent by the Colossus, she also served as primary pilot of the Warbird flagship, the Galleon. The pirates were fortunate for the latter fact too. For in a later, deadly melee amid wreckage from the siege of D'Qar, Valik scored the Warbirds' sole TIE fighter kill of the skirmish, and she managed to land the careening Galleon safely in the Colossus, while under heavy fire.

Equipment: Binder cuffs (5D Strength to hold individuals), blaster pistol (4D damage, range: 3-10/30/120, ammo: 100), comlink, datapad (capable of being used to descramble communications), elbow-length fingerless gloves, nose-piercing and multiple ear-piercings, sleeveless jumpsuit, speeder bike, synthrope (when used for climbing, rope is strong enough to support the weight of at least 3 humanoid climbers), stormtrooper forearm bracers (+1D vs. physical and energy; covers arms only), utility belt and thigh pouch.

Thank you for the suggestions, CRM and Whill! Took inspiration from both suggested formats. As CRMcNeill has done with his various house rules, stats and write-ups, I've added an archive link to my signature. But because I wanted to keep the stats and write-ups together with the discussion, as Whill suggested, I've now created an index out of the running list I'd been keeping on page one of the thread — now with direct links to all the character posts.

Been a while since I made a post. Liking what you've been doing.

Suggestion for the next post - maybe you should try Snarl and Drell. But if you do, perhaps you should try and include a third bumbler like those two are. That way, you'll be doing the pirate's answer to the Three Stooges. Laughing

With a patchwork of sails and scrawls of graffiti, Kragan Gorr's hulking pirate ship, the Galleon, emerges from the mist, as imposing as the notorious leader himself.

Serving as the main base of operations for Gorr and his Warbird gang, the ship is a mobile port for swoops, skiffs, and fighters cobbled together from secondhand parts: a crow’s nest has been fashioned from a hollowed out AT-TE foot, Lamdba-class shuttle wings balance the behemoth, and its hull has been crafted from what appears to be a discarded AT-AT, with armor augmented using heavy-duty hull plating from assorted cruisers, starfighters, shuttles and transport barges.

GALLEON
Craft: Warbird Galleon

Equipped with:
  • Captain’s Chair Periscope: Macrobinocular-periscope at command station allows user full access to sensor array and grants +3D bonus to Perception and search rolls when used to view areas or targets more than 100 meters away.

  • Command Bridge: Bridge has 4 stations: 1 command station with periscope, 2 pilot/co-pilot stations, and 1 bridge-gunner/engineering station. Com-scan functions are accessible via all stations.

  • Crow’s Nest: Fashioned from a hollowed-out AT-AT foot, the crow’s nest perch provides a useful vantage point for spotting hazards and threats. In game terms, crow’s nest grants a +1D bonus to Perception or search rolls for characters located therein.

  • Dorsal Deck and Portside Docking Platform: The deck and docking platform, along with the narrower port-side strip, are accessible to foot traffic, with hatch access to airlock and interior behind AT-AT bridge.

  • Expandable/Collapsible Masts with Pirate Flags: Two sets of spines on the dorsal side of the ship are designed to rise and fall as desired. In game terms, use of the masts may (at GM's discretion) grant a +1D bonus to the Pirates’ Intimidation rolls against targets who view ship when flags are raised.

  • Ventral Hangar Bay: A hangar whose entrance/exit is located on the underside of the Galleon allows for the speedy deployment of Kragan Gorr's fleet of pirate uglies, both for space-based raids as well as planetside attacks. The hangar is capable of accommodating 3 starfighters, 3 airspeeders, and 12 speeder bike / swoop-style craft at once.

Complement: As of Star Wars: Resistance S2E4, the Galleon's complement includes: 2 starfighter uglies (formerly 3, 1 was lost in S1E2), 3 combat skiff/airspeeder uglies, 6 speeder bikes, 3 two-seater swoops. The Warbirds also own 1 Lambda-class shuttle ugly which cannot be accommodated within the hangar.

Species: Trandoshan
Gender: Male
Character Points: 6
Move: 9

Special Abilities and Story Factors:
  • Infrared Vision: Trandoshans are capable of seeing in the infrared spectrum. If there are ambient heat sources present, then Trandoshans can see clearly in low-light conditions and in darkness without penalty.

  • Poor Fine Motor Skills: Due to the physiology of their fingers and hands, Trandoshans have difficulty performing any actions that require precise manual dexterity, such as picking locks or similar feats of prestidigitation. Trandoshans suffer a -2D penalty whenever they attempt any such actions.

  • Short-tempered: Something as simple as a shove, or even an accidental collision caused by a wayward step after an arm-wrestling match gone awry, just might be enough to provoke Skreek into lashing out in "retaliation."

  • Well-meaning: Skreek is an eager warrior who revels in fighting for the side he's on. However, despite a fearsome appearance and his aforementioned short fuse, if someone is allied with the Warbirds, Skreek is willing to help if able, even taking time out from pillaging to pass along information that his ersatz "allies" aboard the Colossus need.
Quotes:
  • "You heard Kragan. Attack!"

  • - “Hey, I think I found your coaxitate — uh, coalixium — co, uh, leery, uh…"
    - "Coaxium?"
    - “Ah, yes! That’s it!”

    — Skreek and Kazuda Xiono, while searching wreckage of First Order dreadnought above D'Qar

Capsule: Skreek was a survivor, like many of his pirate cohorts among the Warbirds. And once the Trandoshan came to be a member of the pirate gang, Skreek soon proved to be one of the group's more prominent voices, often loudly seconding Kragan's calls to action, or being among the first to jump into the fray of battle.

Though he was best at close quarters violence, Skreek was also no stranger to terrorizing the space lanes. During a raid on the Colossus refueling platform, amid a severe "Triple Dark" storm which the Warbirds used as cover, Skreek manned one of the pirate's starfighter uglies. And true to form, he reveled in the attack. Despite eventually being driven off by sudden but shrill, ear-piercing comm interference that jammed the Warbirds' controls and communications, Skreek was not among the pirates shot down, successfully retreating with Kragan's shuttle and two other remaining uglies.

Some time later, after one of the Warbirds, Synara San, had successfully infiltrated the Colossus and fed the pirates intel regarding a weakness in the station's defenses to exploit, Skreek joined the ensuing attack. Leaping off of his speeder-bike, Skreek engaged Resistance spy Kazuda Xiono in melee combat, in an attempt to prevent Kaz from repairing the station's turbolaser targeting computer. Though the brawny Skreek quickly bested the smaller-statured Kaz, the Trandoshan was, in turn, bested by much larger opponent — Jarek Yeagar's hover lift. Though the Trandoshan was knocked out after being rammed by Yeager's repulsorcraft, Skreek awoke in time to attack Kaz again. But before he could finally beat the young pilot into a pulp, Skreek was done in by a lucky strike from his own vibro-ax, in a lucky last ditch move from Kaz.

Still, Skreek survived. As he would when when the First Order later broke off their deal with the Warbirds and betrayed the pirates. During a prisoner exchange that night, Skreek was shot in the chest by Major Vonreg, and seemed plunged to his watery doom... only to return healthy and hale in the days that followed. Indeed, "surviving" what appeared to be certain death became being a theme for the Warbirds — and for Skreek in particular, along with two of his fellow pirates, the Weequay Drell, and Snarl the Hassk.

Despite his fervor for pirate raids and his loyalty to Kragan — or perhaps *because of* the latter — Skreek proved to be sincere (enough) in his efforts to aid a larger cause, once the Pirates eventually joined forces with the Colossus crew. Though Skreek might sometimes have a short fuse — he did react in anger when an arm wrestling match between a Gamorrean and a Weequay suddenly escalated into a cantina brawl — Skreek also willingly provided help to his new allies. When searching the wreckage of a First Order dreadnought for Coaxium (and assorted plunder), Skreek stumbled upon its location, and offered an accurate, if poorly-worded, clue as to where the hyperfuel was.

Later still, after Kragan promised to help feed the starving inhabitants of the Colossus, by hunting and kill a massive manta-like creature known as the Jakoosk, Skreek again snatched a new lease on life from the literal jaws of defeat (and certain doom). The Trandoshan managed to leap from his skiff, only moments before it was consumed by the giant toothy maw of Jakoosk. Landing on another skiff far below, Skreek had survived yet again — to fight, pillage, and plunder another day.

HAPPY (BELATED) HALLOWEEN, ALL!

While still in the spooky spirit of things, from Star Wars: Resistance, here is the GALLEON — the Warbird's pirate ship, which make a great cinematic first appearance by emerging from the mists — and the Warbirds' Trandoshan enforcer SKREEK, one of a few members of the species in the pirate gang, but thus far, the only one who is named and has dialogue and some characterization, however minor!

What? A record! Awesome. Very Happy And thanks very much, guys! I initially intended to add the links and formatting at a rate of one page of entries per day. But as I'm sure has also happened with you both on your own respective projects, once I got rolling, I figured I should just finish out the current list for completion's sake!

Been a while since I made a post. Liking what you've been doing.

Suggestion for the next post - maybe you should try Snarl and Drell. But if you do, perhaps you should try and include a third bumbler like those two are. That way, you'll be doing the pirate's answer to the Three Stooges. Laughing

Thank you for the kind words, Forceally. I was already working on Skreek and the Galleon and had them in the pipeline, but Snarl and Drell are up next! There's a second Hassk in the Warbirds named Tooms, so I may include him as the third "Stooge." Laughing

I just realized something. Neeku could play the part of the third Stooge. At the very least, he and Kaz get into misadventures often enough you'd be expecting that "Yakety-yak" song from the Benny Hill show in the background.

To serve as a bit of an intermission before I finish the WARBIRD pirate write-ups:

I had forgotten to post this here, but finally realized I hadn’t for two reasons: First off: Someone in the facebook group for the Adventurer's Journal asked about one of the Journal's continuing characters, whose appearance is based on David Bowie and is an homage to his various "space" personas. Someone else later suggested they also create a character homage to Gil Gerard. I responded by saying I had long ago statted up Gil Gerard's Buck Rogers (for the Kenner sourcebook that Shooting Womprats and I were working on; he statted the previously-unstatted vehicles and starships, and we had James Spahn set to write-up one of the weirder Ewok figures included inside an Endor globe). That and after the "Non Star Wars Heroes: Star Wars Style" thread was updated, it dawned on me that Buck has been long missing from here — a man out of time yet again!

And so, as with KENNER'S "EXPANDED UNIVERSE" CONCEPT SPEEDER BIKE PILOT, whom I tied to the character of ODIN NESLOOR, here is KENNER'S "EXPANDED UNIVERSE" CONCEPT AIRSPEEDER PILOT as BUCK ROGERS!

This amalgam-take homage to Buck Rogers is largely based on the Gil Gerard TV iteration but references the old jet-packing, disintegrator-ray shooting version played by Buster Crabbe (who made a guest appearance in the series as an old veteran pilot) as well. The figure-to-show connection was inspired by the similarity of the concept airspeeder to the Buck Rogers show's Terran starfighter — not surprising though, given Ralph McQuarrie doing concept artwork for both — and by both sharing all-white flightsuits with a multi-color band, creating a fairly good similarity in overall aesthetic!

Story Factors:
  • Dislike of Hyperspace Travel: Despite it being a necessity for his work, both with his earlier space exploration and now with the Defense Directorate, Buck is not fond of hyperspace travel, and finds it physically unpleasant.

  • Temporal Displacement: Although he has since made profound progress — having found a new home, new allies, as well as renewed purpose — Buck Rogers is still a “man out of time,” or rather a man now outside of *his* time. After spending five centuries in suspended animation, Rogers faces daily difficulties in his ongoing adjustment to “modern day” culture. In game terms, rather than convey this aspect of the character strictly via die code penalties or increased difficulties, Buck’s cultural challenges should be largely role-played.

Capsule: Better known as “Buck” (or “Buster”) to his friends, Captain W. A. Rogers had served with distinction in the Earth system’s planetary air forces and was chosen to man his sector’s most ambitious deep space probe to date. Rogers had already begun travelling the galaxy aboard the compact scout vessel, Ranger III, when its life-support systems suddenly malfunctioned and plunged him into cyropreservation. The ship’s navigational systems were also damaged as a result of the mishap, causing the Ranger III to follow an emergency autopilot trajectory a thousand times more vast than originally intended. The ship did eventually return… 500 years later.

Revived from suspended animation, Rogers learned that the civilization he knew had been rebuilt following a devastating nuclear war and was now under the protection of an organization called the Defense Directorate. Although initially under suspicion because of the incredible circumstances of his arrival, Rogers soon dispelled that notion by repeatedly risking his life for the greater good. As he tried — not always successfully — to fit into modern galactic culture, Rogers’ piloting prowess, combat skills and personal ingenuity earned him a trusted place in the Defense Directorate. However, with the Empire now in power and the Republic gone, the Defense Directorate has had to conceal its sympathies with the burgeoning alliance of rebels. As a result of this covert directive and because his personal identity records are now long lost, many of Rogers’ assignments find him going undercover.

He is often joined in his adventures by Colonel Deering, the woman who rescued him. Deering herself is a skilled starfighter pilot, as well as his commanding officer, a friend… and perhaps more. Rogers is also aided in his adjustment to this new era by an ambuquad droid with a mild vocal programming tic, and is advised by Doctor Theopolis, a leading member of the scientific community and the Directorate Computer Council. And although it has been just two years since his awakening, Rogers has already proven instrumental to foiling a number of nefarious plots throughout the galaxy.

Equipment: XZ-38 “Disintegrator” heavy blaster pistol (5D+2 damage, range: 3-10/30/60, ammo: 30), flight helmet (+1D physical and energy; equipped with built-in comlink; covers head only), flight uniform with multi-color Defense Directorate rank insignia, holster, macrobinoculars, Terran starfighter (Game Notes: Designed by the Mon Cala master engineer Quarrie, Terran starfighters are the result of Quarrie building upon concepts from his existing work on atmospheric repulsorcraft, namely the Incom T-47 airspeeder prototype, and repurposing their basic framework as spaceworthy starfighters).

Agreed regarding Neeku — he and Kaz alone are practically a slapstick comedy duo too, with Neeku as straight man! I may hold off on him for now though, since he's not formally a member of the Warbirds — despite expressing interest in their lifestyle! — but I'll stat him up after finishing the pirates! His difficulty understanding social cues — with the suggestion that it be primarily role-played — would be interesting to represent via game mechanics.
