Cheers RR! The cameo wasn't my doing - it was in the published adventure already (though my touches are on the dialogue)! Definitely fun having an appearance like that as a one-off though! |

Episode VII: The Plant now up!
https://thebissler.blogspot.com/2020/07/star-wars-d6-green-vipers-episode-vii.html
**Spoiler Discussion relating to the fallout from the above mission follows**
Anyone familiar with the outline of The Plant will realise that, by ignoring the body in the sewer, my players have messed up big time! I'd actually hoped for this outcome as I think it's far more interesting that they fell for the Imperial ruse to allow them to plant the device. Now Moff Lorin will provide the Rebels with some "real" information to lull General Reekeene into a false sense of security! It is because of Lorin's information that the Roughnecks learn of the Rebellion on Callonia (which substitutes Chayloon in Star Padre's adventure). Lorin is prepared to accept losses on Callonia for a bigger win which should make for a suitably epic showdown between Lorin and Reekeene's Roughnecks... |

Did you decide to have a fast ship waiting in orbit to follow them back to base? _________________ RR

**More spoilers for future adventures follow**
No, I never really understood how one ship could track another through hyperspace without the use of a homing beacon. I had considered having one planted on the ship while the PCs were in the sewers, but they had left R3 to watch over the ship and I felt that would have necessitated an immediate attack by Imperial forces on Nowhere. Also, if the attack happens straight away, the Rebels would know that The Plant mission failed immediately.
I think the idea of Moff Lorin deliberately leaking information from the communications centre to provide juicy targets for the Rebels (allowing me to run The Rebels of Chayloon next as a result of their intel) to later draw out Nowhere and trap them will be a more satisfying storyline in the longer run and shows Lorin as an interesting and dangerous tactician.
I've published the briefing for Rebels of Chayloon so my players are already reading that, meaning that will definitely be played next. I haven''t made my mind up if I still want to run Scavenger Hunt & Lens Reekeene Is Missing before the major Imperial attack.
Speaking of which, the plan I have for Lorin is to provide the Rebels with information about a lightly defended convoy which Reekeene finds irresistible to attack. All of her resources, including Nowhere, will engage in the attack, also allowing PCs to man X-Wings - but when they drop out of hyperspace, they find two Star Destroyers and a whole TIE swarm to contend with! One of the Star Destroyers will be an Interdictor which will prevent the Rebels from jumping from hyperspace so that should be the focus of their attack. The mission will have the potential for boarding parties on the Interdictor and/or on Nowhere.
Ideally, this battle would be the climax of the entire campaign, but I still have JiBa running around, plotting his revenge. There's more lying behind his actions than has been revealed - although his mistreatment at Kentara's hands is a large part of what has turned him against the Rebels. Perhaps I will regard "the trap" as the first of three major battles, with JiBa's revenge the second, and a potential assault on Moff Lorin's Star Destroyer a final one to end the campaign. |

Thanks Whill, much appreciated.
Part II of the Rebels of Callonia (aka Chayloon) now up:

*Minor spoiler*
Note to Padre: My players are getting far too reliant on their YT-1300 to deal with ground forces, so the warning of a frigate being ordered to patrol for them is designed to make them consider other alternatives!
Note to CR McNeill: If the frigate comes into play, I'll be using your Star Galleon stats! |

Not an ideal choice, IMO, but... _________________ "No set of rules can cover every situation. It's expected that you will make up new rules to suit the needs of your game." - The Star Wars Roleplaying Game, 2R&E, pg. 69, WEG, 1996.

No report this week unfortunately (the players were spending a lot of time planning their attacks) - but I expect the final part of the current adventure will be up this time next week! |
